![]() You can tell them you never use the mini bar, and they will still take $100 out of your account, WITHOUT your permission. Another grip: Morongo extracts $100 from your credit card on check in, to cover "incidentals like the mini bar". It probably won't bother kids under 12, but if you are a grownup, forget it. Morongo is located on the edge of a huge desert wind-turbine farm just before Palm Springs, so guess what that means? Right! Lots of wind! Don't count on sitting peacefully by the pool, because the wind will not allow it on many days. If you have to stay there, make sure you get a room on the upper floors (17, 18, 19), which are serene and peaceful and have not "hum". ![]() ![]() It may not bother you, but it bothered us. The rooms are nice, but, if you are on one of the lower floors (4, 5, or 6) and in a low-numbered room (eg:204), there is a low, droning hum from the air conditioning machinery in the walls, all night long. Second trip to Morongo, and probably the last.
